Challenges of Raising a Stray One
There are times that going to the pet shop ain't the best idea - the questionable cost of animals caged in shops had me curious of their maintenance and condition. How did the owners (or heartless hunters) captured them at the first place? Some may have been netted as stray cats and dogs wandering dark and murky alleys and some were forced out of their will - I really don't know about procedures and I will stay opinionated for this post.
Finally, I was able to live the life of a Pokemon catcher when I met Persian - she was a breed only familiar only who those who have studied sub-species of cats and, I was glad to own her for she possesses a glare so intimidating that no normal human being could easily penetrate her feisty defenses. Lucky enough for me, her feral mood withered when I approached her the first time we met, it was a connection like no other.
She was a stray one, always looking out for herself without accomplices that feasts on fishbone leftovers. I once read that early scriptures and essays revered cats during ancient Egyptian times because pharaohs associated these feline friends of ours as powerful and mighty like their demi-gods. Well, Persian is a one-of-a-kind breed; an independent sentinel which helped me get rid of those pesky mice silently invading our fridge - she would snap their fragile bodies with her claws and dispose of them without my instructions.
I would thoroughly observe Persian for this week - we only started bonding this January and I may have tamed her a bit, I'm not so sure if this is a good sign since I would be personally eliminate my beloved's aggressive side. Hope that does not happen, I want Persian to retain her strong sense of responsibility without her being judged as mean.
